OK, so it’s not everyday that someone needs our input for a TV show or commercial, but here at HS Sports, we’ve certainly had our fair share of them over the years.  It’s indicative of the innovative and flexible approach that we’ve applied to all our work that we are regularly approached to provide solutions for the most random and diverse of requirements and ultimately deliver something quite spectacular… often with fairly minimal notice and development time!

The 2006 BBC1 primetime star-studded Sport Relief series “Only Fools on Horses” offered one such delightful challenge; our team being involved throughout for the development and implementation of their timing, penalty and display requirements. There was certainly no “foaling around” for our team with tight production deadlines and need for great degrees of accuracy, but was a fun and worthy project to have been involved in.

Famous and Fearless ArenaMore recently in 2011, but in a similar vein, was the Channel 4 spectacular “Famous and Fearless” where a selection of celebrities were challenged to a series of fast, dangerous and in some cases downright crazy challenges.  This was a really enjoyable yet formidable experience for us, needing to adapt technology, software and techniques to deliver what was needed to time and produce live results for everything from demolition derby’s to inline speed skating, what a thrill to have been involved.

We enjoyed three whole series of the celebrity challenge show “The Games” as well as work with giants like “Top Gear”, the long-running “Superstars” and “Kickstart” shows, and the BBC’s acclaimed “Born to Win” series that set out to unearth the future of sporting talent in the UK, TV commercials for companies like Nike along with a myriad of other contributions over the years, and you get a pretty good feel for the real all-round nature of the business here at HS Sports
