TIMY

The new handheld and multipurpose timer, the "Timy" is an upgrade of the original and ever popular Comet with the added benefit of an optional integrated printer.
During the design phase of this innovative product, great attention was focused on operating convenience and ergonomics. The developer's reputation for high reliability and robust design is not lost on this unit. In spite of its size, the Timy features a large silicone keyboard that is easy to use in any weather conditions, even while wearing gloves.
The Timy is also equipped with a host of interfaces for communication with external devices, including a display board output, an RS 232 interface for communication with a PC, an RS 485 interface to facilitate networking with other timing devices, and a USB interface to make serial communications simple.
The Timy is endowed with a gigantic memory, being capable of storing up to 15,000 times. All memory times can be scrolled on the display, or transmitted to a PC by the RS 232 or USB interface.
The Timy is pre loaded with a large range of software covering most sports with programs such as Stopwatch, TrackTimer, Lap Timer, Backup Timer, PC Timer, Training Timer, Speed Measurement, Judges Terminal, Cycle Start. The Timy also has the ability to connect to a PC allowing for data to be downloaded and manipulated as required.

Display:The Timy has a monochrome LCD graphic display with 128 x 64 pixels allowing the use of up to 8 lines of text or the use of different character sizes in the display. Graphical symbols to help the operator are also possible. The display has a extended temperature range for extreme cold weather conditions (e.g. winter sports).
Keyboard:
Despite its small size , the Timy features a large and easy to use silicon keyboard with 26 buttons. This allows for operation even while wearing gloves.
Accuracy:
Allows for Time of Day timing up to 1/10,000th second. This means that net times calculated to 1/1000th are calculated exactly. Highest accuracy is guaranteed from Timy at any temperature through the use of temperature compensated quartz crystals.
Printer:
The Timy PXE has a built-in terminal printer, which is both silent and extremely fast. The paper roll can be changed very simply. The feed roller is combined with the printer cover and therefore it is not necessary to thread the paper.
Memory:
Memory up to 15,000 times including ID-number and channel information. The software is on a FLASH-Memory which allows a upgrade of the software via internet from the PC.
Case:
Great attention was placed on ergonomics and ease of use. The aim of the developers was a timer that has all advantages of modern technology in a compact, handy and rugged case. The design was chosen so that it is usable as a handheld and desktop device.
Connections:
The big advantage of the Timy compared to other timing devices of its class and size is the wide range of wide range of available connections to other devices. It is possible for example to make a network of Timys, connected by the RS 485 interface, for start intermediate and finish times. Furthermore it has up to 9 input channels, which means that you can time a start, up to 7 intermediates, and a finish.
