DAG CHIP SYSTEM
................................................................................................................................................................................................
Basic system comprises:
1 x Black Box
1 x 2.3m wide Antenna
2 x Badgers
500 x Re-usable chips
Advantages:
For the time keeper:
- Compatible with all race management software.
- Quick to install: the antenna and connections to the hardware take no more than 15 minutes.
- Easy to tune: the antenna is self regulated thanks to the interface box.
- Compact: all of the equipment can be stored in one case which weighs less than 20 Kgs.
- Flexible: If your event grows, just change the size of the antenna.
- Keep your records: no matter what happens, the black box records all the detections.
- No binding contracts to use the system or chips.
- Cheap : less logistics costs, pay only for the DAG chips you use.
- IAAF rules compliant
- FCC and CE norms compliant
For the Organisation:
- Get rid of deposit and return logistics : the Dag's can be disposable.
- One single product for time keeping and runners identification.
- Results can be recalled instantly thanks to the black box's built in memory.
- Logistics : access control options.
For the runner:
- Easy to use.
- No more wasting time at the finish handing in your chip.
- No more deposit.
- Free of any ground installation.
Black Box
The black box is the heart of the DAG500 system. Connecting the 2.3m antenna, badgors and computer. The black box manages the detection field and sends the information to the computer as each chip passes through the 2.3m antenna.
With an operating at a frequency of 13.56 MHz, the DAG System Black Box Reader is specifically designed to be used with large antennas and is capable of handling a large volume of passings (chips being detected at any one time).
Antenna 2.3m (larger sizes are available)
The 2.3m antenna is lightweight and can be erected in ten minutes from start to finish. The three plastic poles fold flat allowing for easy transportation of the system between races.
Badgor
Occasionally a competitor may have lost or placed the timing chip in his/her pocket. The badgor is a wireless backup system designed to be worn by helpers after the finish line. As the runners come through the finish the handheld batten is then used to detect each runner as they pass the finish-line, this is confirmed to the user via a vibrating handle. If someone has lost their chip you can ask their number and manually enter it into the badgor keypad. Each detection is automatically transmitted via wireless to the black box which will check if the chip has already been seen.
Timing Chips
The DAG chip has a self adhesive side which is designed to be stuck behind each runners number. Sticking the timing chip behind the number helps to cut down on the amount of competitors who forget their timing chip and the high costs involved in replacing them. A great feature of the DAG chip is that each one is programmed with a number from 1-50,000 which relates to the runners number. If a runner does forget his timing chip and running number then it is easy to quickly re-program and issue a new one.
