MYLAPS TRANX260 TIMING SYSTEM
................................................................................................................................................................................................
Accurate race results for your organization
We all know hand scoring can be marginal at best. Here’s where the AMB TranX260 automated timing and scoring system comes in. It provides clubs and race organizations with professional-level race results with minimal effort, all at an affordable price. Not only does the timing system eliminate arguments over inaccurate hand-scored results, but it also provides racers with valuable race data including individual laptimes, lap charts and more. The system is simple to setup and operate, requiring only one or two volunteers to manage the scoring for the entire club. The system keeps track of results live during the race, which can be sent simultaneously to scoreboards, TV crews, announcers and monitors in the pits. Nobody wants to wait hours for their results, which is why final race results are ready for print or for posting to Mylaps.com immediately following the race.
The key to the TranX260 timing system is its simplicity; for example, our easy to use race timing software generates starting grids in common configurations, handles qualifying sessions, and quickly loads race results.
The TranX260 transponder timing system is currently relied on by thousands of organizations including: the Isle of Man TT, AMA, WERA, CMRA, BMCRC and many more.
Basic System comprises:
• 1 x TranX2 Decoder
• 1 x Detection Loop
• 1 x Race Software
TranX2 Decoder
As the heart of the TranX260 system, the TranX2 Decoder receives the transponder information (known as passings) from the track, which in turn sends the data to a timing computer. Compact and portable, the TranX2 Decoder is easily moved from track to track throughout your race season.
Detection Loop
The detection loop picks up transponders as they pass over it. Since thousands of tracks across the world already have an MyLaps detection loop installed at the start/finish line, race day setup is as simple as attaching a few coaxial cables to the TranX2 Decoder and turning on the computer.
Race Software - Orbits Version 2
Orbits 2 combines powerful timing features with a simple user interface. The software offers many features, each of which is easy to use. It even stores your track records.
Orbits’ competitor database stores information about your racers including their Personal Transponder number. Once entered, registering a competitor for the next race is just a matter of using the mouse to drag them into the race in which they’ll participate. Orbits also offers several import options using standard text files or competitors exported from previous Track Timing programs such as Orbits 1 and ChronX. Each class of racers is color-coded with a different helmet for quick identification.
Timing
The Timing Screen for Orbits 2 presents race data in several formats depending on your timing needs. Each racer’s passings are listed in order of receipt for a complete record of the race’s action. It clearly identifies passings under different race conditions including warmup, green, yellow, red and pitstops. Lapcharts along the bottom display the bike numbers to provide a concise list of each lap’s order of passing while also indicating those racers who are lap(s) down. The live official results can be tailored to show as much or as little data as you wish.
Results Processing
With racers and fans wanting laptimes and results online, Orbits 2 makes this easy with no web design skills necessary. Results can also be shown on your own web site.
The software has several options for merging results of races to generate the lineup for semi-final or main events. Also add your own logos to its fully customizable print templates with adjustable columns and font sizes or export text files.
